MEET DAVID
FRESH LEADERSHIP PROMOTING POSITIVE GROWTH
David Harris is a resident of Cheatham County as well as a Local Business Owner. He can be seen all over Cheatham County dedicating his time to civic group leadership and building strong relationships with private organizations. Although David’s family is not multi-generational, he has three children and five grandchildren, and he has chosen to cultivate deep roots in the Cheatham County. He loves the county and is committed to addressing the needs of each and every resident and doing everything in his power give them the best future possible.
David started his path to Cheatham County Commissioner by earning a Bachelor's degree in Urban Affairs from the nationally ranked, Levin College at CSU, graduating Cum Laude. He furthered his education, earning a Master's of Business Administration degree, also from Cleveland State University. David is continuously expanding his knowledge of how best to contribute to Cheatham County because of his Graduate Studies in Urban Planning, Design, and Development.
County Commissioner is a natural transition for David. He has experience managing many multi-family residential communities, over 12,000 residents. He has a passion for helping individuals living in very diverse circumstances with different needs and desires. David has experienced quite a few financial ups and downs and will lend a sympathetic ear to everyone and helping whenever possible.
With 15 years of experience in professional Regional Property Management, he has worked in many facets of residential and community management. David has coordinated and supervised simultaneous, multi-site major construction projects while reducing costs and completing projects ahead of schedule.
Today, David's job is the CEO of Alpha Supply, a graphics equipment and supply company in Nashville. His day-to-day activities include overseeing sourcing, production, and worldwide distribution. This experience gives him a global community perspective, while also allowing David to appreciate small town values. His business insight is intrinsic to the future planned and strategic growth of Cheatham County.
These management skills will be invaluable to Cheatham County by making sure city plans are focused, not just on today, but tomorrow and well into the future. Though his current position as CEO and past position of Business Development Director of Global Principals, Inc., David understands how to bring new businesses and jobs into Cheatham, while helping the current businesses expand and grow stronger.
